Paint Like Porter

by Suzanne C. Korn

Tuesday and Wednesday, August 14 and 15th

Rufus Porter Ballroom at the Damon Tavern

Do you like Rufus Porter? Do you love folk art?

Suzanne will be leading a hands-on workshop called “Paint Like Porter”, and we still have slots available! It’s a great opportunity for folks to actually paint in the ballroom surrounded by the historic landscape murals painted by Porter almost 200 years ago!

Participants will learn about the life and times of Rufus Porter and the basic methodologies and techniques required to create a folk art landscape. Plus, participants will also create and take home their own Rufus Porter-inspired landscape painting! It will be fun and informative and appropriate for all ability levels.

This workshop is a fundraiser and the class fee will go towards restoration of the Rufus Porter Ballroom.
